Why I don’t recommend creatine supplements

Creatine is one of the most popular supplements—but I don’t recommend it. Here’s why:

Supplementing with creatine is not necessary for muscle growth, as the body naturally synthesizes it from amino acids in the liver, kidneys, and pancreas.

The amount produced is regulated based on muscle mass and physical activity. As individuals engage in resistance training, their body adapts by increasing endogenous creatine production to meet energy demands.

While exogenous creatine supplementation may enhance short-term performance, optimizing natural production through consistent strength training and proper nutrition supports long-term muscle development without reliance on supplementation.

The body is perfectly capable of making creatine, as long as you’re committed to strength training.
