Brian Gerrish and Jemma Cooper discuss a wonderful weekend at the Sounds Beautiful Festival 2025 in Dorset. Set in beautiful countryside, the UK Column team enjoyed blue sky and sunshine together with the wonderful company of organisers, entertainers, members of the public, and many UK Column supporters. Â
The highlight of our weekend was the opportunity for the UK Column team to deliver a live UKC news to a very appreciative live audience. Â
Camping alongside other festival goers, we all enjoyed the full ambiance of the company of old UKC friends and supporters, mixed with many new faces. In a relaxed, friendly, and peaceful environment, people were clearly happy to chat, visit the many stalls, enjoy the food and refreshments, listen to the music, or just sit and chill out with others. Subjects for discussion could be personal, humorous, or serious and meaningful. Â
Many people were quick to say that the social environment was wonderful, where all opinions and concerns could be freely shared without judgement or negative responses. Many reflected that ‘normal’ life had changed and should be as relaxed and friendly as the Sounds Beautiful vibe. We agreed with them. Â
Together with the enjoyable social interaction, the UKC team were also able to conduct some captivating video interviews with both UKC members and new supporters. They were all fascinating and informative, and both serious and amusing in content.Â
Please join Jemma Cooper and me, Brian Gerrish, as we reflect on our time at Sounds Beautiful 2025, and we enjoy re-watching two wonderful interviews with longstanding UK Column supporters Mary and Jenny.Â
