There is no doubt that the bible holds a tremendous amount of important historical information. But long before this holy book was written and compiled an equally important collection of texts were written. They are known as the Sumerian cuneiform texts and they were said to hold the story of a mysterious group of deities who descended from the heavens long before official history began.
