The Emerald Tablet is a legendary ancient text, often attributed to Hermes Trismegistus, a figure also known as Thoth. While it’s presented as a foundational work of alchemy and magic, its actual origin and historical context are debated. The text, which includes the famous phrase “As above, so below,” has been seen as a summary of alchemical principles and a guide to the secrets of the philosopher’s stone.
