The Naga Gods of Ancient India Are NOT Figments of the Imagination



The Nagas—or Serpent People—are some of the strangest beings mentioned in ancient Indian texts. They are part divine and part snake-like. The Encyclopedia of Hinduism says Nagas watch over underground worlds. The respect for serpent-like beings is not just found in India. From Tibetan temples to mountain rituals in the Andes, from Mesoamerican pyramids to Chinese dragon stories, serpents are seen as carriers of divine knowledge. Were they real, or are they purely mythological?
