➡️ In today’s video, I talk about how the Slovenian intellectual Slavoj Žižek critiques the Western left’s stance on Ukraine and russia. Žižek recently gave an insightful interview to the Kyiv Independent, where he unpacked the misconceptions the Western left has about the conflict. He argues that the left often misinterprets the war as merely a proxy war and lets its disdain for the West cloud its judgment on russia. Žižek also highlights the left’s double standards in addressing the situation. This is a very important contribution from Žižek, as he’s a voice the left is likely to take seriously. Let’s hope his message resonates and persuades as many people as possible!
