As we advance into 2025, Nemesis is well into its aphelion leg of its 3600 lunar year orbit around our Sun, and this new cycle has a quiescent beginning. If current trends hold, we expect several months of relative quiescence from this point forward.
However, that will likely change sometime this fall. In the meantime, we are in the eye of the storm, where things are calm. Enjoy it and use it to your advantage because, after 2025, it will be a bumpy ride to the 2030 pole shift.
Do not squander this precious time with silly notions of gathering a three-day supply of water and flashlight batteries. If you trust your instincts, you’ll need to take this to the next level without calling attention to yourself. We’ll discuss that later in the article, but first, we need to do the numbers.
February 2025 Fireballs
Fireballs are reported worldwide, and the American Meteor Society is this dataset’s primary source for North America.
AMS Multistate / Country Fireballs
Multistate/country fireballs cross the borders of multiple states and countries. This is a critical category in the dataset because these fireballs must travel a great distance to receive reports from across large geographic areas.
February 2025 is part of a steady three-year decline for this dataset period. We call these types of fireballs “skimmers” because they have flat trajectories.

NEWLY REVEALED EGYPTIAN-CELTIC WISDOM TEXT |
Millennia ago, Egyptian and Celtic authors recorded prophetic warnings for the future. For the Egyptians, Exodus was a horrific event about a slave uprising amidst a horrific natural global disaster caused by a brown dwarf star in orbit around our Sun. |

AMS Huge Event Fireballs
It’s commonplace for Multistate / Country Fireballs to be reported as huge events because a huge event occurs when 100 or more eyewitness observers report it.
While there were no huge events in January, February shows a return to the baseline. We’ll keep a close eye on this.
AMS Monthly Total Fireballs
The monthly total fireballs are the most critical category in this dataset, and January 2025 brought up to second place for this dataset.
This month shows an uptick over January. This, plus the uptick in Huge Events, raises the question of how long this relative period of quiescence will last.
Yearly AMS Fireball Totals
We see a five-year trend here, starting with 2020, where 2022 remains the highest year on record, followed by a steep reversal in 2023 and leveling out in 2024.
In Signs 97, we wondered if the February data would push 2025 ahead of 2011, and it fell short. This dataset will tell us more about the shrinking close approach distance between Nemesis and Earth.
Earthquakes Since 1997
At the outset of our Signs series, J. P. Jones created a dataset spreadsheet that tracks the total number of earthquakes each month, beginning in 1997. The USGS started capping the data in the last three months of the first Trump administration.
With all the worldwide seismic and volcanic activity, this drop in February is odd. As always, we’ll see what we see or not.
Monthly Earthquakes 1/2021 to 2/2025
The illustration below uses current USGS data and represents earthquakes of all magnitudes.
Please note that we’ve changed the reporting date ranges, and JP Jones changed the scale to help present the data more effectively.
Use This Time Wisely
This is a message for grandparents in awareness and those in a position to make a move. Do not be complacent—not now, especially if you live along a significant shoreline such as an ocean or great lake.
Over the years, I’ve been pained to hear the laments of grandparents who want to move their families only to be threatened by their children, telling them to stop talking about their concerns or lose access to their grandchildren.
If you are in a position to move, this summer will be your last chance for best options because the busiest months for real estate sales are typically May, June, July, and August. This period is often called the peak home sales season, with June usually being the pinnacle of home-selling activity.
If you live in the South, stay in the South. If you are not a native of the South, look for friendlier locales where your accent will not provoke people because who you live amongst is as important as where, if not more so. In the years to come, you’ll need to work with your neighbors, and this factor is more important than most others.
Avoid large cities and tourist towns. Small rural country towns of 5,000 or less are best. People there understand the need to help a neighbor.
Before you contact a realtor, spend a week or so in a local BnB, get to know the people there, and get a feel for the area. Respect, generosity, and thoughtfulness work almost anywhere in the world. A friendly smile also helps.
If you feel the area fits you, look for well-built homes on vertical land, which is usually less expensive. It is preferable to more costly bottom land, which will be more prone to flooding in the coming tribulation.
Water is essential, and you want a well that you can draw water from with a hand pump. Year-round running water on or bordering the property is also preferable.
Make your place an excellent getaway for your loved ones. Young children love gardens and small farm animals, and their parents will enjoy fresh eggs in the morning. Most importantly, NEVER speak about your awareness concerns, or you will provoke a disheartening outcome. Instead, make it fun and relaxing with campfires, marshmallows, and the like.
When things go sideways and people awake to frightening possibilities, your loved ones will say, “Let’s go to grandpa and grandma’s house,” and they will.
