The data for May 2025 continues to show that Nemesis Mini-constellation is well into the aphelion leg of its 3,600-year lunar orbit around the Sun and is slowly closing with Earth. The fireball increase is as expected for May, with a significant rise in observations reported on our yowusachat Telegram channel.
Likewise, as we’ve reported for years, we continue to see intentional data capping in USGS earthquake data. The USGS maintains a substantial global seismic monitoring presence, but most of its sensors are deployed domestically.
The USGS operates over 3,900 earthquake sensors, primarily within the United States and 100 worldwide. They report that the USGS collaborates extensively with various global partners to enhance seismic data collection, sharing, and analysis for the rest of the data.
In February of this year, Yowusa.com researcher JP Jones began evaluating Volcano Discovery, a non-profit research group that provides an alternative source of seismic reporting data. Their reporting methods are similar to those of the USGS, but they report substantially higher numbers. For this reason, JP Jones’ evaluation centered on sources and the possibility of data duplication.
We then compared the USGS reporting with that of Volcano Discovery for January through May of this year. The results were shocking because they revealed years of USGS deception dating back to 2020. When you see the comparison, you will be amazed and troubled.
With this in mind, let’s begin with the fireball reporting data for May 2025 and then examine this USGS deception in depth.
May 2025 Fireballs
Fireballs are reported worldwide, and the American Meteor Society is the primary source for this North American dataset.
AMS Multistate / Country Fireballs
Multistate/country fireballs cross the borders of multiple states and countries. This is a critical category in the dataset because these fireballs must travel a great distance to receive reports from across large geographic areas. We call these types of fireballs “skimmers” because they have flat trajectories.
May 2025 continues with a marginal increase, making this the second-highest month in this five-year reporting group.

NEWLY REVEALED EGYPTIAN-CELTIC WISDOM TEXT |
Millennia ago, Egyptian and Celtic authors recorded prophetic warnings for the future. For the Egyptians, Exodus was a horrific event about a slave uprising amidst a horrific natural global disaster caused by a brown dwarf star in orbit around our Sun. |

AMS Huge Event Fireballs
It’s commonplace for Multistate / Country Fireballs to be reported as huge events because a huge event occurs when 100 or more eyewitness observers report it. We call them “plungers” because they have a steep trajectory.
It has been a long time since we had a recent monthly report that reached the highest levels at this time of year for the five-year reporting period, and May 2025 did it quite boldly. This is significant for us because we primarily use this dataset to determine the rings within the Nemesis Cloud. This month suggests we’re inside a ring, but we’ll see.
AMS Monthly Total Fireballs
The monthly total fireballs are the most critical category in this dataset, and May 2025 showed the second uptick since 2023 for this period, bringing it into third place.
You will notice a partial June report. We added this to illustrate the amount of activity during the first five days of June. JP Jones anticipates a surprising uptick for June. We’ll see what we see.
Yearly AMS Fireball Totals
We see a five-year trend here, starting with 2020, where 2022 remains the highest year on record, followed by a steep reversal in 2023 and leveling out in 2024.
This dataset finally exceeded its 2012 level, but after the first five months of 2025, we’re far from breaking the 2013 record as Nemesis continues its downward plunge towards the ecliptic.
Earthquakes Since 1997
At the outset of our Signs series, J. P. Jones created a spreadsheet tracking the total number of earthquakes each month beginning in 1997. The USGS started capping the data in the last three months of the first Trump administration.
The May drop is the second lowest for this year, and when you see the Volcano Discovery data, the actual numbers will shock you. It did us. This month will be the last time we present this table.
Monthly Earthquakes 1/2021 to 5/2025
The illustration below uses current USGS data and represents earthquakes of all magnitudes.
May 2025 came in at fourth place for this five-year group. This month will be the last time we present this bar chart report.

USGS Deception Revealed
A recognized news portal for earthquake and volcano updates, Volcano Discovery is an adventure tour operator that conducts geotours and volcano tours around the globe, in collaboration with trusted partners.
Part of its mission is to report on earthquakes and volcanoes as soon as they happen and, as an effective monitoring service that bases its findings on official sources, provide the general public with the fastest possible updates on such events.
Their data aggregation method was the initial concern of Yowusa.com researcher JP Jones, and here is what our research shows. Volcano Discovery aggregates earthquake data from a wide range of international and national seismic agencies to provide one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date earthquake databases available online. The website and its associated apps collect, compare, and present data in near real time from over 50 agencies worldwide
Volcano Discovery avoids overlapping (duplicate) data in seismic reporting by aggregating earthquake information from more than 40 national and international sources and implementing a system that compares and merges events from different agencies. The trick is how they do it.
When multiple agencies report the same earthquake, Volcano Discovery’s system compares key parameters such as time, location, magnitude, and depth. If these parameters are sufficiently similar, the reports are recognized as referring to the same seismic event and are merged into a single entry in their database. This approach ensures users see only one listing per event, even if several agencies report it. The USGS uses a similar method.
After evaluating 2025 to date, we found that Volcano Discovery does a superb job, and as a non-governmental organization, they are free to report the truth and do so. With that in mind, we’ll share the data source sites’ pages operated by the USGS and Volcano Discovery for May and then January through May 2025.

May 2025
This is where we source our earthquake reporting data from the USGS website. This is for May 2025 and according to the USGS, there were 8,880 earthquakes of all magnitudes for his month.
It is essential to note the red box in the middle, which says USGS Quakes for May, totaling 8,880. Now, let’s look at Volcano Discovery for the same period.
According to the Volcano Discovery website, 57,290 earthquakes of all magnitudes occurred in May 2025. Ergo, USGS is reporting 15.51% of what Volcano Discovery is reporting for the same period.
2025 Year to Date
There is an old saying in computer programming and documentation. If you do it wrong, do it consistently wrong. This way, it becomes easier to fix things after you spot the problem, so let’s look at the USGS and Volcano Discovery for the 2025 year to date.
The USGS shows YTD world quakes but throws an error: “The 50,581 matching events exceeds limit of 20,000.” This reminded us of the confusion between “Comey” and “Corney.” The investigations were about James Comey’s actions as FBI Director, and the “Corney” typo was dismissed as a technical artifact.
Likewise, Comey’s social media post of seashells showing 86 47 was explained as coincidental. Nonetheless, it is interesting how the USGS and Comey make similar explainable errors. In the end, lies are lies. Now let’s see what Volcano Discovery says for the same period.
Instead of suspicious error messages, the Volcano Discovery site reports the YTD number as 262,499. Ergo, USGS is reporting 19.28% of what Volcano Discovery is reporting for the same period.
USGS vs. VOLCANO DISCOVERY 2025 YTD
Admittedly, numbers alone give you a feel for what’s happening, but are subjective, so let’s do a bar chart to illustrate the difference. When you look at this for the first time, you must ask, could this be right? This is precisely why we shared the data reporting pages for the USGS and Volcano Discovery websites above with you, so that you would know that this bar chart is accurate.
In the future, we will use this earthquake comparative bar chart for subsequent Signs series installments through the end of 2025. JP Jones calls it a pivot. I call it a blessed opportunity to give our readers reliable earthquake data.
