Preventive care or profit pipeline?

Preventive care or profit pipeline?

Let’s look at the reality behind the modern model of “annual checkups.” While it’s positioned as proactive healthcare, in practice, it functions more like a sales cycle, one that ensures you return to your doctor regularly, regardless of how you feel.

If you’ve followed my work on routine testing and screening, you know that many diagnostic results are far from foolproof. This means a healthy person could walk into a preventive visit and walk out with a questionable diagnosis, leading to a chain of medical interventions that often benefit the system more than the patient.

The same pattern applies to pediatric wellness checks, which are largely structured around vaccine schedules, not individualized assessments of well-being.

In fact, research does not strongly support the benefit of annual visits for asymptomatic individuals. Despite this, the model persists, because it’s profitable.

True prevention doesn’t come from more appointments. It comes from understanding your own body, reducing toxic exposures, managing stress, drinking proper water, and living intentionally.

Take your power back. Become your own health authority.
