NASA has decided that Lunar Starship and SpaceX need competition for an Artemis lander!
Why? Is this perhaps a good thing, or has Jeff Bezos and Blue Origin just found another way to get back in the game?

NASA’s new decision:

Delta-V Map – If the Martian atmosphere is taken into account, landing on Mars requires about the same Delta-V and fuel as landing on the Moon. AND, there’s no in-situ methane on the Moon for Starship to come back to LEO. The fuel requirements for a fully reusable Lunar Lander Starship are considerable, due to the mass.
