I found a bug on my deck leaning on the door…and when I picked it up. I thought it was jewelry or off of a necklace or something….I pressed it and dug my nail into it to see it if was real gold..loll Then to see if it was a stone or metal I tried to crush it…without success. Too hard. I can bend a kitchen pan with my hands and I tell you..this THING was like metal. I would have kept it but I got it to fly away for us…so we would see what it looked like…Two glider stationary wings…two moving wings….Bright green body…so I looked it up and all that I could find as close to what it looked like..was the European Gypsy Moth.. Look for yourself online. When I squeezed it as hard as I could…it’s legs came out and it started walking around in the ziplock bag. lollll First time that I see a bug that was GOLDEN and that it was so hard to squeeze. That is impossible. ALl insects can be squashed… So it might be a Gypsy Moth but it sure must be in that family of insects. Never have I seen a bug with these characteristics…NEVER.
