mentalism by noam chomsky

This view is presented by Noam Chomsky and his followers.
Mentalism is based on cognitive learning. Cognitive means mind. By mentalism we mean something which involves the mind and the thought process. according to this theory we learn new things by relating new with the already existing things in our mind.
Chomsky and his mentalist followers claimed that language is governed by rules. According to Chomsky a child is born with mental ability to learn language. He grips the underlying system of language. He constructs his own mental grammar.
