If we seek God, we cannot avoid the problem of evil. Can the enormity of evil ever be compatible with an all-powerful, all-knowing, all-good God? Couldn’t God have created the world without such evil? A little evil, perhaps, so that there are consequences of acts, but the unrelenting, monumental evil in the world exceeds all decency. Did God have no choice?
