Did you ever wonder why India had a word for aircraft long before they were invented? Well, it turns out that aerial vehicles are not in fact modern invention, they were used thousands of years ago, when they were known as Vimana. The technology used in ancient India in those days was comparable if not better in some regards than todays technology. This is attested to in ancient Sanskrit epics like the Rig Veda, the Mahabharata and the Ramayana.
