Braeden Sorbo is a 23-year-old actor, author, and cultural commentator. He is a strong proponent of traditional masculinity and family values as a response to the progressive liberalism he sees destroying Western nations. He is part of a new generation of young, Christian, conservative voices emerging from the United States.
His new book, Embrace Masculinity: Lifting Men up in a World That Pushes Them Down, paints a vivid picture of a world where hard work, responsibility, and self-reliance are fast becoming relics of the past, replaced by a culture of entitlement and victimhood. He argues that today’s culture has wrongly labelled strength as ‘toxic’ and leadership as ‘oppressive’, leaving many men feeling lost or ashamed of their natural instincts.
It’s clear from our conversation that the world doesn’t need less masculinity; it needs more of the right kind, which presents a challenge to all of us — both men and women.
Braeden was homeschooled by his parents Sam and Kevin Sorbo (the actor). Charles Malet spoke to Sam Sorbo about building resilience through home education in this recent interview for UK Column.
