Dr Klaus Richter is a historian of modern Eastern Europe, focused mainly on the social history of Poland and the Baltics, Germany’s relations with Eastern Europe, and the history of nationalism and ethnic conflict. Dr Richter is also the director of the Institute for German and European Studies (IGES).
