US House Democrats have released 68 new photographs connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as the Justice Department approaches a deadline to disclose its Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell case files. The images show Epstein in social settings with numerous prominent figures, including Bill Gates, Woody Allen, Sergey Brin, Noam Chomsky, Steve Bannon and New York Times columnist David Brooks. The Times said Brooks attended a single 2011 dinner for reporting purposes and had no further contact with Epstein. Democrats stressed that the photographs do not imply wrongdoing and show no criminal activity by those pictured. Beyond social images, the release includes passports, visas and identification documents from several countries, with sensitive details redacted. The material also contains disturbing text messages referencing the arrangement and pricing of young women. Additional photographs show passages from Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita written on a woman’s body, along with blueprints, prescription medication and anonymised images of women. The photos were obtained by the House Oversight Committee and form part of a cache exceeding 95,000 images.
