Frankie Boyle and Yanis Varoufakis pull no punches in this finale bursting with provocation and hope. Buckle up for stories of “selling your soul to the devil,” bankers who enjoy being insulted, and water industry moguls described as “the worst people.” Yanis reveals how ancient Athens forced their bankers to be slaves for accountability—then declares, “We never lived in a democracy—just an oligarchy with regular elections.”
No topic is too taboo: from cancel culture in Palestine conversations, climate breakdown, and corporate greenwashing to Britain’s ongoing betrayal of the working class. Boyle recalls being censored for jokes on Gaza, while Varoufakis exposes the banality of evil up-close and the pressures silencing progressive artists.
Yet it’s not all despair. Together they plot an alternative—maybe even a “real democracy”—and urge viewers not to leave anyone behind, even those seduced by fascism. If you care about power, laughter, and reclaiming your future, this is the unfiltered talk you need to see.

The motorcycle riding Marxist finance minister became a worldwide icon of the Left when he stood up to the EU during the Greek Debt Crisis, and today he is both the founder of the European grassroots political movement DiEM25 and one of the most exhilarating radical thinkers we have, equally adept at skewering the Big Tech oligarchy and sharing bold and provocative new visions of a just and equal world.
