Watch this before going to the hospital

Before you sign anything at a hospital, remember: you have more power than you think.

Hospital intake forms and treatment consents are legal contracts, and like any contract, you have the right to review, question, and even modify what you’re signing, especially if something doesn’t align with your values, needs, or understanding.

You can cross out sections you don’t agree with and if you feel pressured, misinformed, or unsure, you can still sign, but add the words “under duress” next to your signature.

This is a legal expression indicating that you were not fully consenting and may protect your rights if the agreement is later challenged.

Most people don’t realize: informed consent is not just a signature, it’s a process. And you are allowed to ask questions, make changes, or even cross out clauses you don’t agree to before signing.

Your signature is your sovereignty. Don’t hand it over without understanding the terms.

Always read the fine print, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.

I cover this and more in my latest True Health Report Podcast on the Western Medical System.
