I am writing in connection with a written reply you made to an unnamed source which has appeared on social media. He/She has asked on 21st Jan 2022, via and FOI request, how many people hospitalized in Blackpool Victoria at the time had been vaccinated and how many hadn’t. Your reply was swift and confirmed that on the 18th Jan the stats were as below:

161 vaccinated with 2 doses
7 vaccinated with 1 dose
14 unvaccinated

Bearing in mind the average age of covid death stands at almost 83 years and that 97% of people over 75 have taken the 3rd jab when offered it seems strange that no priple vaccinated appear on the listings. Is that because of a genuine error or because, remarkably as it would seem, the omission has proved to be fact?

On the rerun of the report to retrieve this data there was 1 small error on the previously disclosed information. Please find the amended information below:
I can confirm on 18th January 2022 there were 182 covid positive inpatients in our Trust within 14 days of their first positive diagnosis.

Vaccinated with two or more doses – 162
Vaccinated with one dose – 7
Unvaccinated – 13

Of the 162 vaccinated patients 130 had received their booster or 3rd dose.
The Trust would also like to add, patients have been tested for Covid but the majority are being treated for other conditions, covid is a finding from testing, not that they are necessarily symptomatic.
